WHITE

There are great white wines to be discovered in the Douro.

Dry wines are produced by blending several grape varieties, such as Malvasia Fina, Viosinho, Gouveio and Rabigato.

White wines to be drunk young: Pale in colour, with refreshing fruity (citrus and other tree fruits) and floral aromas, on the palate they are balanced and show their youth. They are a good accompaniment to fish dishes, salads and can also be drunk as an aperitif. Serve between 8º and 10ºC.

Storage Whites: They have good aromatic intensity and complexity and are generally fermented or matured on wood, presenting a golden colour, with tropical fruit and toasted aromas. On the palate, they are full and persistent. They go well with fatty fish dishes, such as salmon or codfish, and can also be served with chicken or rabbit accompanied by mild sauces. Most of these wines bear the designation Reserva and Grande Reserva and should be served at a temperature of around 12ºC. They can be kept for a few years before being enjoyed.
